MAES CORE

Assign a task. Set its boundaries.

MAES Core defines the shared framework for people, AI agents and tools: who may act, for which task and with what permissions, throughout the project.

Your business defines the roles, permissions and approvals required.

In development

Tell us what you need
01

You provide

Responsibilities, tasks to delegate, available tools and the boundaries set by your business.

02

What the software does

It defines a specific authorisation for each task: objective, scope, permitted tools and stop conditions. This authorisation is called a mandate.

03

You approve

The responsible person grants the required permissions. Actions beyond the task must follow the defined approval process.

04

You receive

A verifiable framework: an identified actor, a defined task, limited permissions and a named approver.

MAKE IT CONCRETE

Allow testing without authorising a release.

A fictional example showing what the software does. This is not a software interface.

MAES Core Example record

The task
Test the back-in-stock alert in the test shop.
The boundary
The agent cannot change the live shop or contact customers.
The approval
Going live requires the permissions defined for that separate action.

Each action records who carried it out, whether a person or an AI agent, along with its date, context, rationale and supporting evidence.

WORKING WITH OTHER MAES SOFTWARE

The project continues.

MAES Core provides a shared framework for all MAES software. The framework applies throughout analysis, construction, checks and improvements.
